A Writer’s Blog

This is my first post on my first blog, so I suppose I’d better introduce myself. I’m the author of The Third Revolution Series, a complete four book saga that includes THE THIRD REVOLUTION, THE LONG KNIVES, THE BLACK FLAG, and THE WARLORD, and chronicles another War for Southern Independence in the near future, centered in and around Columbia, SC, covering the time period from the conflict’s outbreak to its aftermath. Unlike most such books, this one is seen from an unabashed Southern Nationalistic point of view; not too surprising since I am a Southern Nationalist, and have variously worn the hats of Chairman of the Southern Party of West Virginia, Vice Chairman of the Southern National Committee of the Southern Party, and West Virginia Coordinator for the Virginia League of the South. Obviously, the series is not at all politically correct; I’ll save that for the writers who churn out the regurgitated, pre-approved crap you find on the shelves of your local mega-mart.

If you’re interested in more “conventional” fiction (although there is actually very little conventional about it), I’ve also written a horror anthology of thirteen stories with the fitting title of DARK PATHS, and some of the paths taken in this book are dark indeed. I’m not bragging when I tell you that, within its pages, you’ll find some highly original concepts in terror, as well as some non-traditional takes on the traditional monsters, such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts. Be warned; this isn’t TWILIGHT, and these creatures don’t sparkle in the sunshine.

All of these books are available at Amazon.com on both Kindle and hardcopy.

I’ve also appeared in the anthologies, APPALACHIAN HEART and SHORT SCARY STORIES, as well as publications as diverse as The West Virginia Woodsman, East Texas Today, the Southern Party News, the French-Canadian Coup de TĂȘte, and have, for the last several years, been the West Virginia correspondent for The First Freedom monthly, where I happily slaughter sacred cows with great enthusiasm.

The purpose of this blog is to keep my readers informed of what I’m writing, what I’m reading, and tips on writing their own original works (again, as opposed to mass market, assembly line canned books written for the semi-literate, the cowardly, and the unthinking) for themselves. Be warned; political correctness is not spoken here. See you soon.
